Isn’t cannabis marijuana? There are many different types of cannabis. Marijuana is one type of cannabis, but there are others, including hemp. Think of it like different types of apples - there's Red Delicious, Gala, etc. The same goes with cannabis!

Where does CBD come from? Cannabis plants of all types contain more than 100 different chemical compounds, known as cannabinoids. These compounds interact with the human body in various ways. CBD is one of the cannabinoids that comes from cannabis plants, including both marijuana and hemp.

Our CBD is derived from hemp.

Will CBD get me high? Is it psychoactive?

The short answer is no. Our CBD is derived from hemp, and contains only trace amounts of THC. It won’t get you high.

The longer answer: of the hundreds of cannabinoids in cannabis, two are relatively well-known, CBD and THC (tetrahydrocannabinol). THC is psychoactive, responsible for that feeling of being “high”. CBD is not psychoactive and cannot get you high.

Is CBD legal in the UK? If the CBD was derived from one of the 63 strains of hemp that is currently legal in the EU, and contains less than 0.2% THC, it is legal in the UK.

What are the health benefits of CBD? There is significant scientific evidence pointing to CBD’s usefulness in treating epilepsy. Other benefits remain unsupported by the same amount of medical evidence. However, there is a growing body of anecdotal evidence that CBD:

  • increases cell regeneration
  • relieves inflammation, reducing pain and swelling
  • assists muscle recovery activity after gruelling workouts and strenuous physical activity
  • acts as a stress and anxiety reliever
  • promotes better memory recall and mental acuity

There have been a few studies that have shown it could assist smokers quit as well.

Why can’t I just make CBD coffee at home? You could indeed, but that’s where our delicious recipes and add-ins to make the CBD more bioavailable (so it can be absorbed into your body and all the benefits can really soak in) come in.

Where does your coffee come from? Colombia, Peru and India - we use a delicate blend which is perfect when cold brewed.

What does your coffee taste like? Our coffee tastes like a delicious coffee - the CBD taste is not very distinguishable.
